"Music in Advertising: A subjective discussion of it's History and CRAFT"
At one time a CRAFT for specialists, the space where music and advertising meet has become an endeavor for specialists and non-specialists alike. An explosion in technology combined with an ever-fading international recording industry have opened up the floodgates where now creatively driven non-specialists have an opportunity to craft, produce, compose, procure and/or supervise music for advertising and branding initiatives worldwide. It's certainly an awesome opportunity for all musically creative people. This seminar will subjectively explore the history of music in advertising and branding - mainly, although not entirely, from a U.S. perspective. We'll discuss those initiatives that have been well executed, some of which have even become iconic, and how they were successful in engaging in the CRAFT.
